Strasbourg has won 6 of its last 7 Ligue 1 home matches but is the underdog despite this, given a 35.1% chance to beat Lille

RC Strasbourg moving up the table

Four wins from their last five Ligue 1 games have RC Strasbourg moving up the table, partly thanks to ‘Le Racing’ leading at half-time in all four victories. In fact, the result at the break has often been indicative of the final result, with Strasbourg winning eight of the nine Ligue 1 games in which they led at half-time, but losing six of the eight in which they trailed. The hosts have also won four of their last five Ligue 1 home games but did see both teams score in the previous four here after conceding in the second half each time. With six of Strasbourg’s last eight competitive home victories arriving via a slim one-goal margin, a tight game could be on the cards.

Lille away league games without goals

Lille have had a dreadful away campaign so far, winning just one Ligue 1 road trip, after netting an average of 0.6 goals per away game. Four of their seven defeats have, at least, come by just a single-goal margin. Although struggling upfront, the visitors tend to start well defensively, and 70 percent of their away league games have been goalless at half-time. Therefore they have conceded in both halves in just 10 percent of their Ligue 1 away games, despite conceding an average of 1.2 second-half goals per road trip.
