Ukraine won the first match against Spain. Just a few days ago, Spain demolished Shevchenko’s team while scoring four goals. Tables turned around in Kyiv.

Andrey Shevchenko wanted to solid performance

Before the match, Andrey said that his boys are prepared fully. Ukrainian coach noted that Spain is very solid in defense and attacking line. It would be hard for Ukrainians to score the goal and then keep the clean sheet. Fortunately to Andrey, Ukraine could score the goal and concede no goals from Spain’s solid attacking line.

1st half of the match

Spain started with a solid attack. Ansu Fati is again in the spotlight and Luis Enrique used him as a main striker. 17 years old player is literally stealing the headlines of sport magazines. Ansu Fati scored three goals for Barcelona in La Liga and he got the attention. Currently Ansu is scoring goals and Spain also needs the youngsters smart skills.

Along with Ansu Fati, Rodrigo and Adama Traore were playing in the attacking line. Adama Traore was playing on the left side and Rodrigo on the right side. At the same time, Andrey used Yarmolenko and Yaremchuk as the main strikers. Spain was dominative in the first half but could not score goals. Sergio Ramos and co had ten shots during the match but only three were on shot. On the other hand, Ukraine had only one shot on target in the first half.

2nd half of the match

Spanish footballers dominated the stadium in the second half too. Unfortunately no one could score the goal in the second half from Spain, while Ukraine could do the opposite. Ukraine scored the goal in the 76th minute. Tsygankov, who entered the pitch in the second half, gave a lead to Ukraine. Spain could not change anything in the last fifteen minutes. Crosses from the sidelines and searching Ansu Fati in the penalty area was not a game-changer for Spain
