The Bundesliga is back, and Bayern Munich are in the driving seat once again, but the title race is about to be shaken up.

The capital club delightfully adapted to life in the Bundesliga

Although both teams have scored in Union Berlin’s last five competitive matches – with both sides scoring in the second half in four – they still failed to win all but one of those games. In fact, the previous H2H versus Bayern Munich also saw a defeat despite both teams scoring in the second half. At home, Union have netted two goals in five of their last six Bundesliga matches, while four of their previous five wins here have come via a 2-0 scoreline. However, all four home league games in which they conceded first this season they lost, albeit they won six of the eight in which they netted early.

Bayer Munich find themselves in a usual territory at the top of the Bundesliga

Bayern travels here on an 11-game unbeaten Bundesliga run, with nine of the ten wins during that period coming by at least a two-goal margin. That’s no surprise considering the German champions have netted a league-high average of 2.92 goals per game so far. The division’s best away side have netted an impressive 34.29% of their away league goals in the opening 15 minutes, and as such, have scored the opener in ten of their 12 Bundesliga away games. However, they have shown defensive frailty after half-time – ten of the 15 away league goals they’ve conceded arrived after the break.
