Ravel Morrison was tipped for big things at Manchester United. However, his career went off track into a downward spiral that cost him his Old Trafford career. Likewise, Old Trafford officials are desperate Mason Greenwood’s career might summer a similar fate.

To prevent the “tragedy”, several key meetings, Solskjaer, and his staff have established strategies to get Greenwood back on track.

Having watched the gifted Morrison, who now plays with Den Haag in Holland, fails to fulfill potentials that could have made him a world-beater, there is a genuine belief that the teenager could fritter his career away.

Right before Greenwood was caught smuggling girls into England’s team hotel alongside Phil Foden, concerns were already arising that the teenage star wasn’t putting all his energies into his football career.

Stories had emerged of appearing late for training on occasions that coach Solskjaer denied and the late nights mean he isn’t getting the required sleep and rest needed to perform at the highest levels.

Mysteries also surround his absence from the squad at Goodison Park before the latest international break as United won 3-1 against Everton. For this, Solskjaer claimed the teenager was suffering from an illness.

Explaining why Greenwood was not in the England Under-21 squad for games against Andorra and Albania, manager Aidy Boothroyd made no mention of that.

However, he said, “it was felt from Man United that the best course of action was to sit out this one. He has had a lot of niggling injuries and a lot of things going on in his life.”.

To Solskjaer and former coach Sir Alex Ferguson, they believe Greenwood could have the world at his feet with his natural goal-scoring ability that makes him exceptional even against fellow strikers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
