Napoli have strengthened their attacking line – Lille forward Victor Osimhen will continue his career at Napoli. The Napoli press service reports about the transfer of the 21-year-old Nigerian football player.
The Neapolitans signed a five-year contract with the striker. Osimhen will defend the club’s prestige with the number 8 shirt, with an annual salary of around 4.5 million euros.
According to unofficial information, the transfer costs 50-60 million euros. Under the deal, Napoli goalkeeper Orestis Carnezis will be transferred to Lille.
It turns out that the transfer of Victor Osimhen is the most valuable in the history of Naples. The club has so far paid the most to Hirving Lozano, who bought him from PSV Eindhoven last summer for € 38 million.
Victor Osimhen defended Lille’s honor in 38 matches in all competitions during the 2019/20 season, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists. Prior to that, the striker played in German Wolfsburg and Belgian Charleroi. Osimhen has scored four goals in 10 matches for the Nigerian national team.
