The Ajax star Donny van de Beek has been one of the most wanted midfielders in Europe since last season when his stunning performances helped the club reach the semi-finals of the Champion’s League.

Was the Transfer-story Rumour?

A week ago, some rumors assured football fans that Real Madrid agreed £47m deal with Ajax for highly-rated Dutch Midfielder. But actually, the Ajax talisman says that there is no contract offer on the table for him.

Real have been in the market for Ajax midfielder since last summer. They are looking for a long-term replacement for Luka Modric and now appear to have found their man.

Donny Van de Beek first attracted Zinedine Zidane’s attention last season with an impressive display in the Bernabeu. Then Ajax beat Real in the Champions League last-16.

Zidane’s club do not hide the fact that they need to get rid of some fringe players to free up wage funds.

Van De Beek dispelled any rumors linking him with a departure from his homeland during the January transfer window earlier this month. Still, he did not confirm he would be there past the summer.

Shortly about Van De Beek’s Recent Career

A creative midfielder was one of the stars of a youthful Ajax team that reached the Champions League semi-finals last year, scoring four goals in 18 appearances.

The 22-year-old Dutch player also helped the team win a domestic double.

Ajax have managed to maintain their dominance in the Eredivisie.

Van de Beek scored seven goals and laid on four assists there. Accordingly, he attracted attention from such top clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester Utd.

The former were thought to be going to sign the Netherlands international, for £47million’s fee to Santiago Bernabeu this month.

However, Van de Beek has denied about agreeing to join Real Madrid, as far as his current deal at the Johan Cruyff Arena does not expire until 2022.

While speaking after Ajax’s 2-1 home win over Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday,

he went on to admit that the Blancos are a “great club,” but he holds Ajax in the same regard and is in no rush to choose between the two.
