Laporta’s banner won’t decide the future
Victor Font appeared on Friday morning to criticize Joan Laporta’s campaign, despite not mentioning him by name at any point, and he noted that a banner would not solve Barcelona’s future but rather a straightforward, definite project. Font also targeted rumours of potential signatures, suggesting that Barcelona’s financial situation needs to be looked at before making decisions. “Several media sources have generated rumours of big stars signing,” he added. “This is irresponsible because if we recently said that there are no €1.5 million to sign Eric Garcia, we cannot create false expectations.
