We witnessed a wonderful performance from Villarreal players against Celta. The match in Vigo was very interesting for both teams and they went for a win.
Pre-match preparations
Celta Vigo was not in a good mood. Team lost two main attacking players in the previous La Liga round. Keep in mind that Alvarez and Iago Aspas were injured against Real Madrid. In a away match against Los Blancos, Celta lost three points and main players and it was terrifying. In a few days, Celta lost the Spanish Copa Del Rey game and they could not qualify for next round. It was a disaster for Celta as they conceded five goals from the opponent. The worst thing happened yesterday night against Villarreal at the home stadium.
Four goals in first half
Unai Emery started the match with an interesting line-up. Moreno and Nino were main strikers and changed positions time to time. It was tough for Celta’s defenders to defend each of them after changing the positions. At The same time, Celta played with a different strategy. There were two main strikers ahead – Mina and Mendez. Three attacking midfielders and one midfielder focused on defense. Unfortunately the strategy could not work well as Celta conceded four goals in the first half. Defensive line was always alone against the attacking line of Villarreal because the midfield of the team had different tasks. Moreno opened the score-line in the fifth minute.
