Former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has come up with the idea of holding a charity friendly match, so called “Vintage El Clasico”, in which the legends of the recent years from his former club and Barcelona will play.

According to the goalkeeper, it would be good if such “El Clasico” is held after the end of the quarantine, and the entire amount received from the match will be spent on charity.

It all started with La Liga posting on Twitter a video of Xavi highlights in Barca. “Watching Xavi’s game was great,” the video had an inscription.

“It was even more fun to watch it every day, five meters away,” said Andres Iniesta, a former teammate of Xavi in Barcelona.

After that, another Blaugrana legend, Carles Puyol, was involved in the dialogue: “You can’t imagine what it was like to watch you together, a few meters behind you.”

“I have played against you so many times. And it was a great pleasure. Everything was happening, but when this horror is over, we have to gather and conduct a vintage classic! We will help the needy with the money received,” Casillas replied to Puyol.

“Start collecting guys! And you can count on me,” Iniesta wrote.

Anshlag is guaranteed

The idea of Casillas is wonderful. First, people missed football. And at the end of the pandemic, see “El Clasico” – that’s what the fans really want. Besides, we are talking not about the modern, but about the match of the stars of the past, in which Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Casillas, Zidane, Beckham and Roberto Carlos will play.

No matter what stadium such a match is held in. Anshlag will be guaranteed. It means that a considerable amount of money will be collected from the victims of Coronavirus.
