Santi Cazorla wants to return to the Gunners. The former Arsenal player is 35 years old. So, he is close to the end of his career as a player. But he want to stay in staff.

In 2018, Santi Cazorla left the London Arsenal and went to Spain, specifically to Villarreal, to play. He missed a long period at the English club due to a severe injury. But he is still one of the most distinguished and beloved players for the fans of the “Gunners.”

Arsenal’s current head coach Michel Arteta and Santi Cazorla have been defending the honor of the London club for a while, during which time they have won the Association Cup twice.

Santi is 35 years old, and although he has scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in 24 games in the 2019/20 La Liga season, it is close to the time when Cazorla will have to end his career.

I’ll be a coach

The Spanish player has expressed a desire to stay in big football after finishing his playing career. Cazorla wants to return to Arsenal and work there. Maybe it will happen even during Arteta’s stay there, and he will work at Mikel’s coaching staff.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ll be a coach or a sports director. But I want to come back,” Santi said.

After a severe injury, Santi continued to play football at a high level, and he was once again called up to the Spanish national team. He was also named in the national team for Euro 2020. But the continental championship was postponed for 1 year due to Coronavirus.
