As you may know, the 38-year-old Swedish forward from Milan suffered an injury while training with the team. According to the club, the player has not damaged the Achilles tendon. The severity of Zlatan’s injury will be known in more detail later.

Milan have posted a statement on their official website regarding the injury suffered by Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic during training.

Zlatan has not injured Achilles tendon

On May 25, Italian media reported that the 38-year-old player had allegedly severed his thigh muscle during training and injured Achilles tendon. It has been speculated that such a severe injury could be the reason for the end of the career of Sweden.

But as reported by the Milan press service, the attacker has not damaged the Achilles tendon.

“The club reports that Ibrahimovic suffered an injury to the heel muscle of his right foot during training. The injury does not fully affect Achilles tendon. The player will have an X-ray taken ten days later,” the Milan club said in a statement.

After a pause in the Italian championship due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic left for his homeland, where he trained with the local team. Ibra returned to Milan on May 11.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined the Italian club during the winter transfer window. He signed a contract with the club until the end of the season, with the prospect of extending it. Since then, he has scored four goals in 10 matches.

The Swedish star has played for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United, and Los Angeles Galaxy during his career. He has scored 62 goals in his 116 matches for the Swedish national team.
