The future of Maurizio Sarri in Juve depends on the performance in the Champions League. The club has already begun negotiations with other coaches who may replace Sarri. The Turinese were rejected by the main candidate Zinedine Zidane.

There have been spread some rumors for a long time about the possible departure of Maurizio Sarri from Juventus. So, the point may be raised again in the event of a team failure in the Champions League. The “Old Lady” will play the return match of the ⅛-final against Lyon on August 7. Against Lyon they have lost the first meeting (0: 1).

According to the latest information from the Italian sports media, the Turin club has already contacted several coaches and discussed the possibility of their joining the team.

As it turns out, the Juventus bosses’ main target was the current head coach of Real, Zinedine Zidane. The Turinese did not only contact the French specialist. But they also addressed him with a specific proposal and introduced him to the project’s perspective. Juventus’ offer also included the purchase of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Despite everything, Zidane, like last year, refused to hand over the Italian team.

The Turinese have also contacted with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, Luciano Spalletti and Jean Piero Gasperini, who coach Bergamo Atalanta.

Recall that Maurizio Sarri was appointed to Juventus last summer. Under his leadership, the team won Serie A in the 2019/20 season, which was suspended for three months due to a Coronavirus pandemic.
