Luca Zidane, the son of Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane, who is Racing’s goalkeeper, has agreed to accept Algerian citizenship and defend the dignity of the country’s national team.

Recall that Zinedine Zidane’s parents moved to France from Algeria. Zinedine himself won the World Cup (1998) and the European Championship (2000) with the French team.

According to Algerian media, the head coach of the Algerian team, Djamel Belmadi, met with Zidane’s son before the start of the Coronavirus pandemic and agreed to protect the dignity of his ancestral homeland.
