Real Madrid is struggling with goals. Last season we saw the team that could not score more than 1-2 goals in a single match. It was very depressing for many Madrid fans who were used to Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale’s goals.
Anything can happen until 4 October
Zinedine Zidane had a press-conference today. During the conference, journalists asked him about the transfers. Zidane said that anything can happen until the 4th October. French coach noted that he had no intention of buying any player but unexpected serious injuries could change his mind. That’s why Zidane is not eliminating the idea of buying new players. Currently, Real Madrid is the wealthiest team in the world again but the financial crisis hit everyone in the football industry too.
Real Madrid could not pay for any big player this season for many other reasons. Florentino Perez is re-building the main stadium and it took more than half a billion Euros. That’s a huge part of the team’s budget, so the club had to be patient with the transfers. Chelsea, Bayern, Barcelona and other teams could buy a few players during the transfer window although there is a crisis. Unfortunately, Real Madrid could not as they have other goals.
Rumors suggest that Zinedine Zidane and Perez are saving money for 2021’s summer window. It will be the last transfer window for Florentino, so he wants to buy a few ‘galactico’ types of players. Journalists believe that Zinedine Zidane will go for Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Camavinga.
Edinson Cavani could be a good option by the end of transfer window?
Marca’s experts believe that Cavani is very close to signing for Real Madrid. As we noted above, Los Blancos does not have a good financial situation. They have eliminated the 15 million euros (salary of Bale) and it’s good for the financial case of the team. RIght now Perez is not looking for a new player by the end of January. Cavani is still trying to convince officials of the team. Zidane said that he is not ready for a new player. He even admitted that playing with Luka Jovic and Karim Benzema could be a good option this season.
