Zinedine Zidane attended the virtual press-conference with the journalists. He talked about the upcoming semi-final game against Athletic Bilbao.

Four day in Malaga

Zidane said that the team is already in Malaga for four days. Team is working hard at the stadium of Malaga to chase the dreams. Zidane said that the squad is fully fit and there will be big competition to get a place in the starting line-up. The head coach believes that the match against Athletic Bilbao will be tough for the Royal team.

Sergio Ramos is ready to play

Zinedine Zidane noted that Sergio Ramos is ready to play against Athletic. Keep in mind that Sergio had a minor pain in the ankle. He has not been training for the last two days. Zidane assured Real Madrid fans that Ramos is well. Also, don’t’ forget that Sergio Rmaos has not extended the contract with the club yet. As the Spanish journalists note, Sergio and Florentino Perez can’t agree on the expiration date of the contract. Ramos wants a full, 2 years contract but without any increase in the salary due to pandemic. Florentino wants to give Sergio full, 1 year contract and additional 1 year contract if he will be fit for the to-notch performances. 

A little bit about Martin Odegaard

Journalists asked Zidane about Martin Odegaard. The coach said that Martin is a kind of player who will eventually succeed at Real Madrid. Zidane said that Martin has a big future in the royal club. At this point, Norwegian midfielder is training with the main team and he may get a starting spot in the line-up, who knows. Journalists believe that Martin will stay in Madrid next season although he is not getting enough play-time.
