Red card for Atalanta’s defender
As you may know, Italian club’s defender got a red card against Ferland Mendy. After the pass from Isco, Vinicius gave an assist to Mendy and French defender was 1 on 1 against the goalkeeper of Atalanta. Defender was very fast and he got fouled on Mendy. The French defender could not even shoot the ball – the referee decided that foul deserved a red card. Journalists asked Zidane about the red card. He said that the game was a little bit same before the 17th minute. The French coach admitted that Mendy was on point and his dribble was very scary for Atalanta, that’s why the defender fouled. Zidane said that Mendy could score a goal, so he can’t criticize the referee for the decision.
Tough match in Italy
Zinedine Zidane said that Real Madrid played a very tough game. Everyone was waiting for a real battle and Zidane praised the attacking line of Atalanta. Although Italian team could not make a shot on target, they still got praise from Zidane. French coach admitted that Real Madrid will be very careful in Madrid because Italian club will demand a come-back. French coach believes that everything will be decided at the home-stadium of Los Blancos.
Isco in the starting line-up
As you may know, Real Madrid played with a different formation. For instance, Karim Benzema is absent from the squad. He is injured for two weeks already and can’t help the team.
