Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan for a six month deal with the option for yet another season. The 38-year-old scored 42 goals in 61 league games in his previous stint at the club from 2010 to 2012.
Since he left Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy in November, Ibrahimovic was a free agent receiving “more offers at 38 than when I was 20.”
“I know what I have to do.” Said the former Sweden and Manchester United striker.
“I’ve been looking for one final rush of adrenaline to give it my all.” He said as he marked his return to Rossoneri.
“I received even more calls after the game against Atalanta which Milan lost 5-0.”
“I didn’t come here to be a Rossoneri mascot. I’ve never lost my passion.”
AC Milan is 11th in the Serie A with 21 points from 17 games. The seven-time European champions have endured a difficult campaign so far.
The club is currently without a major trophy since their 18th Italian title in 2011.
When asked why he left the club. Ibrahimovic answered that a “corporate decision” led to his departure from in 2012.
“The last time I left, it was without my approval. But the situation was what it was.”
“What is important is that I’m here and I want to improve things as much as possible.”

Ibrahimovic: “I’m meaner than before”

Ibrahimovic has not played since October. But, he could make his debut for Milan against Sampdoria at the San Siro on Monday.
“Milan is still Milan. History can’t be changed. Said Ibrahimovic.
“I’m coming to help the club. We can do much more but let’s go one match at a time. It’s a marathon, not a 100m sprint.”
“I’m meaner than before. They know what I am like, how I train and play each match.”
“You have to work hard. You have to know how to suffer otherwise you don’t reach your maximum potential. Not everyone likes to suffer bit I do..and I expect a lot from my team-mates.”
